25 Dec Success case: PigletPlus© improves growth and FCR in weaned piglets
During Autumn 2022, we conducted a test in a large pig farm to verify the effect of PigletPlus© on the performance of weaned piglets.
Trial design
The experimental animals were 21-day-old post-weaning piglets, 36 in the trial group and 35 in the control group.
Treatment of the trial group: PigletPlus© added to feed, every day, for 42 days.
Treatment of the control group: None.
All the other health, nutritional and management parameters, as well as the environmental conditions, were the same for both groups.
The weight at the beginning and at the end of the trial, as well as the feed intake, were recorded.
Results
The addition of PigletPlus© during the post-weaning period resulted in better FCR and more weight gain.
