Poultry regulate body temperature through:

  • Evaporation: Cooling by panting and water droplet evaporation from skin.  
  • Conduction: Heat transfer through direct contact with cooler surfaces.  
  • Convection: Heat loss through air movement over the body.  
  • Radiation: Heat emission from the body to cooler surroundings.
