PhytoLiv© is a supplement of essential oils, bioactives and vitamins, with powerful antioxidant action.

The liver is one of the most metabolically active organs in the bird and its function can be altered when the animal is exposed to toxic compounds, which is more frequent in birds with long lifespans, such layers and breeders. It is involved in key digestive, metabolic and excretory activities.

During its normal metabolic activity, the liver produces free radicals, which are neutralized by antioxidants that are physiologically produced by the body, maintaining the redox balance. Whenever there is an increase in the production of free radicals or a reduction in the antioxidant activity, the redox balance is disrupted, and oxidative stress begins. Oxidative stress can be caused by heat or cold stress, poor ventilation, stressful situations, toxins, mycotoxins and heavy metals, nutritional imbalances and feeding with oxidized fats, among others. It leads to hepatic diseases, performance losses, as well as a worsening in the quality of meat and eggs.

The administration of natural antioxidants is useful to counteract imbalances related to oxidative stress.
